Job Summary:
A Semiconductors Company is seeking a junior-level attorney to serve as legal counsel for our cutting-edge semiconductor operations in the United States. The ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating complex legal issues that require analysis on several fronts, while effectively communicating with procurement, R&D and sales departments. This position offers an opportunity to solve complex problems in a fast moving technology sector.

Responsibilities:
  • Work across a spectrum of complex legal, business and strategic issues
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and provide legal advice on procurement, R&D and sales contracts with various business partners
  • Analyze legal claims, and investigate underlying facts
  • Monitor relevant US regulations affecting semiconductor operations
  • Coordinate with the parent company's legal team on cross-border matters and corporate governance
  • Coordinate with the legal teams of various affiliates and subsidiaries within the United States

Qualification:
  • Juris Doctor degree from a top-tier US law school in the United States
  • Active membership in at least one state bar
  • Experience in commercial contract drafting and negotiation
  • Experience with procurement, R&D or sales contracts
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-cultural environments
  • Exceptional communication skills, with ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders
  • Intermediate proficiency in Korean

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in working in a large corporation and in cooperating with the parent company, affiliates and/or subsidiaries
  • Experience in the semiconductor, electronics, or other advanced technology manufacturing sector
  • Experience with export controls and tariffs
  • Experience working in a multicultural or international environment
  • Fluency in Korean

Requirement:
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Willingness to travel periodically to other locations as needed
  • Ability to work extended hours when necessary due to global time differences
