WHO are we looking for?
An Investment Management Company is seeking a Corporate Counsel with commercial contracting experience to join our internal legal team. As counsel, you will provide practical legal advice while mitigating legal risks for the company. The role will work closely with senior internal counsel and other business partners as well as external counsel. Our ideal candidate is comfortable working on commercial contract review and negotiation, as well as working with internal and external counsel on additional legal matters. The candidate will maintain the highest professional and ethical standards, have excellent time management, organization, and decision-making abilities, be able to prioritize projects and deadlines, be collaborative, and accountable while performing in a fast-paced and evolving environment. The ideal candidate will be a mid-level associate interested in getting a broad transactional in-house experience with the ability to develop focus around growing needs of the company.

Responsibilities:

Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts (NDAs, vendor agreements)
Maintaining standard documents and internal playbooks related to contracts, and other matters on an as-needed basis
Assisting internal counsel on a broad range of transactional matters including due diligence
Participating in firm initiatives relating to client contracting or other corporate legal matters
Executing projects through completion
Communicating clearly and accurately across various levels
Providing additional legal support and counsel to business groups across the firm
