Our Legal team is seeking a Corporate Counsel with hands-on experience in cybersecurity, data privacy, information technology, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies to support the Club's evolving digital landscape. The ideal candidate would be familiar with advising on issues at the intersection of law and technology, focusing on data privacy, AI deployment, cyber security, and digital infrastructure.What you will do:
- Drafts, reviews, and negotiates commercial agreements under the guidance of senior legal staff. Agreements will include IT, marketing, insurance, and various other vendor contracts, with a focus on standard terms and lower-risk matters.
- Provide practical legal support to business leaders, escalating complex or sensitive issues to senior counsel. Participate in dispute resolution efforts as needed.
- Manage routine legal matters and projects independently, while supporting more complex initiatives led by senior members of the legal team. Proactively identify when to seek input or approval from senior legal leadership.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as Information Technology, eBusiness, Marketing, Automotive Services, Internal Audit, Insurance, Member Relations, Finance, and Human Resources on legal issues, primarily in an advisory or support capacity. Build relationships across business lines to facilitate legal compliance and contract execution.
- Support compliance efforts by monitoring changes in relevant laws and regulations, assisting in policy implementation, and helping ensure adherence to internal procedures. Escalate potential compliance risks to senior counsel.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Law School Graduate (Juris Doctor/J.D.) from accredited US Law School required and
- Strong academic credentials preferred
Experience:
- 7+ years Related Legal Experience required and
- 4+ years Experience in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and/or emerging technologies preferred
- 2+ years In-house Corporate Legal Counsel Experience preferred
Licenses and Certifications:
- ctive State Bar License and member in good standing within Club's territory Upon Hire Required
