What You'll Do:
  • Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of agreements (services, licensing, non-disclosure, ), and draft policy language, memos and correspondence.
  • Perform legal and factual research and apply law to relevant Company circumstances.
  • Function as legal advocate and advisor concerning legal rights, obligations and privileges of the Company and those acting on its behalf.
  • Collaborate with outside counsel to oversee litigation, regulatory compliance, contract and other matters.
  • Assist in managing Company intellectual property and Company information privacy and records retention matters.
  • Review marketing and communications materials, including promotional events, for legal compliance.
  • Monitor compliance with applicable laws and regulations regarding corporate operations, ensuring appropriate procedures are in place for sharing information and following up with relevant individuals.
  • Proactively volunteer, pioneer ideas and accomplish assignments as a legal subject matter expert on Company and department projects and committees.
  • Assist with responses to customer complaints originating from state insurance departments.
  • Prepare and present formal or informal legal educational sessions.
  • Build and maintain positive internal and external customer relationships.

What You'll Bring:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Law degree from a nationally recognized law school, with strong academic credentials. Admitted to practice law in Wisconsin.
  • 0-5 years of private practice or corporate in-house experience. Recent law school graduates with prior legal internship, externship, or clerkship experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Substantive legal knowledge, creativity in problem solving, and use of independent discretion and judgment.
  • High level of intellectual, professional and interpersonal agility and flexibility, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Analytical skills and personal judgment to establish, prioritize and execute tasks and goals.
  • Self-starter with the ability to build a strong rapport with individuals across the Company business units and functions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools and ability to learn various software and research applications.

Preferred Qualifications:
Property/casualty insurance background and jewelry industry experience are helpful.
