We are looking for a Corporate Counsel who will join our Legal team in Marysville, Ohio. This position will be based at An American Multinational Corporation world headquarters in Marysville, a suburb of Columbus, OH.

The Corporate Counsel will be part of the Company's Legal team with the primary responsibility of providing generalist legal support to the Company's management, business units and more senior attorneys in a wide range of legal and strategic issues across the Company.

What you'll do in this role:
  • Provide legal advice and services for one or more business units, advising them on a wide variety of matters, including general business, commercial and transactional matters
  • Draft, review, negotiate and support the drafting, review, and negotiation of commercial and transactional agreements
  • Work with other Company attorneys, Company departments and third parties on a variety of matters
  • Research legal and factual issues and prepare memos, summaries, and related communications
  • Liaise with departments across the Company to solve cross-functional issues and challenges
  • Manage outside counsel on certain projects

What you'll need to be successful:
  • This position requires an attorney who has strong legal and business analytical ability, a collaborative spirit, the ability to effectively implement guidance and direction from senior attorneys and to comfortably build partnerships with colleagues and business clients.
  • 4-7 years of experience in an in-house legal department and/or law firm with significant involvement in contracts, commercial transactions, and general business legal matters
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and membership in good standing in at least one state bar
  • Experience in advising business managers on legal and strategic aspects of business operations and transactions
  • Strong knowledge of commercial law
  • Strong legal writing, reasoning, and commercial agreement drafting skills
  • Attention to detail and excellent communication and analytical skills
