Bluefin Payment Systems LLC is looking to add a new member to join its busy global legal department.

Bluefin also provides omnichannel PaaS and SaaS to acquirers, payment service providers, POS system providers, software vendors, and other merchant aggregators in the global market.

Responsibilities:
  • Review, draft, and negotiate complex commercial agreements related to SaaS, PaaS, data privacy, cybersecurity, and financial technology for US clients, partners, and vendors;
  • Provide legal analysis and counsel to assigned business units;
  • Coordinate and manage contract review processes to ensure all agreements are appropriately reviewed and approved by internal and external stakeholders;
  • Assist with ensuring finance and technology regulatory compliance;
  • Research, review, and resolve complex legal matters as assigned by the General Counsel;
  • Coordinate with outside counsel on legal matters as they develop
  • Support various legal projects in areas including, but not limited to, contract template updates, policy review and implementation, merger & acquisition, and finance reviews as assigned by the General Counsel;
  • Maintain legal records and documentation for compliance and regulatory purposes; and
  • If selected with intellectual property experience, management of patent applications and patent portfolio in conjunction with outside counsel.

Qualifications:
  • D. from an ABA accredited law school required;
  • Licensed and a member in good standing with any state bar;
  • Minimum of five (5) years of commercial transaction experience within a law firm environment or an in-house legal department;
  • Experience with technology or financial technology industry is preferred;
  • Experience with data privacy and intellectual property management is preferred but not required;
  • Strong business acumen, excellent verbal and written communication, a can-do attitude, and willingness to learn an exciting and rapidly evolving field; and
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
