Description:An American Multinational Technology Company is looking for a Corporate Counsel for its Customer Protection and Enforcement (CPE) team to support An American Multinational Technology Company's cybercrime enforcement efforts. CPE is part of An American Multinational Technology Company's legal department, and combats schemes that attempt to harm An American Multinational Technology Company customers, partners and business. This position will be responsible for coordinating investigations into fraud schemes; working closely with business leaders, legal professionals, investigators, and our public policy team to advise on civil and criminal laws relating to cybercrime; and implementing civil and criminal enforcement strategies to stop bad actors. You'll help chart long term strategy for combating malicious online activity that harms our customers and partners around the globe. The position requires working with law enforcement from multiple countries to refer and support prosecutions.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience investigating and stopping cybercrime schemes, including crafting legal strategies, managing a large number and variety of mission-critical projects, working independently and often in ambiguous environments, and interacting with government agencies.
- Thorough understanding of Internet architecture and related technologies
- Sound and practical business judgment as well as common sense
- Ability to work effectively with outside counsel in the US and internationally, investigators, lawyers, and business clients cooperatively and efficiently
- Highest standards of ethics and professional integrity
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel and work extended hours when necessary
