Position Summary:
The Corporate Counsel, Business Position Provides Legal Guidance and Support Across the Organization to Ensure Compliance with Laws, Regulations, and Company Policies.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities include the following:
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the Company's business and transactions.
  • Draft, review, analyze and negotiate contracts.
  • Research and analyze legal issues, statutes, regulations and cases and prepare memoranda.
  • Provide legal guidance to corporate leadership on various business and risk related matters.
  • Coordinate and supervise work performed by outside counsel for business related matters, acting as internal support to outside counsel.
  • Participate in the development of corporate policies, procedures and programs.
  • Provide support and legal expertise for the compliance and internal audit functions.
  • Assist executive leadership with other legal needs of the company, as needed.
  • Provide support for the Chief Legal Officer, as needed.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
  • Juris Doctorate Degree
  • Active Tennessee law license with no record of discipline
  • Minimum of three (3) years as a licensed and practicing attorney, either in private practice or in-house (Contract review/negotiation, real estate transactions, business transactions, and/or civil litigation experience preferred)
