This Corporate Counsel role may be located in Arlington VA or Seattle, WA.
We're looking for a products counseling attorney to support some of AWS's most cutting-edge artificial intelligence and machine learning tools and services. In this role, you will work directly with the business team as lead counsel to develop new AI/ML focused products and services, with duties including: identifying legal risks and proposing mitigations strategies; advising on regulatory and compliance matters - including privacy, intellectual property, and go-to-market strategy; drafting and negotiating commercial licensing agreements; providing day-to-day input on business strategy; and analyzing and contributing to AI/ML policy and responsible use positions around the world. This role will give you the opportunity to work with a variety of stakeholders including engineers, scientists, privacy, public relations, and public policy teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of internet, software, and media industries and the legal and regulatory environment in which they operate or equivalent
- Familiarity with artificial intelligence and machine learning, cloud computing, IP technology and licensing transactions, data privacy, and product counseling
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, written and oral communication
- Curiosity, and a willingness to learn and grow in a team environment
- Ability to work independently and as a part of cross-functional teams
