Position Overview:
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented corporate attorney with a focus on transactional and general counsel work to join our growing practice. This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys hands-on client interaction, diverse deal work, and wants to build lasting client relationships within a supportive, entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of corporate and commercial agreements in a variety of industries.
 - Draft documents and provide support for mergers, acquisitions, and financing transactions of all business sizes.
 - Conduct due diligence, legal research, etc. on corporate and transactional matters.
 - Provide client guidance and assistance with entity formation, corporate structuring, governance, deal negotiations, maintenance of corporate records, etc.
 - Advise clients on a variety of general counsel, corporate and business related issues;
 - Participate in firm marketing, networking, and client development efforts with a genuine interest in generating leads and building your own book of business over time.
 - Work closely with firm attorneys and clients in a collaborative, mentoring-focused environment.
 
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
 - Active license (or eligibility for admission) to practice law in Kansas or Missouri.
 - At least 2–5 years (can be more) of experience in corporate law (with transactional experience) preferred.
 - Background or coursework in tax and/or securities law is a plus but not required.
 - Strong drafting, analytical, communication, computer, management and problem-solving skills.
 - Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing multiple client matters.
 - Entrepreneurial mindset with enthusiasm for personal and professional business development and firm growth.

Compensation:
- Base salary (commensurate with experience and market), plus production-based and origination bonus structure intended to be competitive with Kansas City market.
