The An Absolutely Craveable Chicken, Zalads & Zappetizers Company Support Center is seeking a Corporate Attorney to join the Legal Services team. The role will work independently, receiving direction from and reporting directly to the Chief Legal Officer. The role will assist An Absolutely Craveable Chicken, Zalads & Zappetizers Company business units to mitigate risk while simultaneously supporting the growth of the business.

The Legal Services Department provides legal counsel and services in various areas such as governance, franchising, real estate development and leasing, information technology, intellectual property, corporate contracting, consumer protection, employment law, e-commerce, litigation management, and regulatory compliance, including privacy compliance.

This position is based in Atlanta, GA, and allows for a hybrid work schedule that requires 3 in-office days per week.

Essential Job Functions:
Essential duties may include but are not limited to the following:
Corporate Matters Generally
  • Draft, review, and lead contract negotiations
  • Partner with the Director of Risk Management to monitor and mitigate emerging risks
  • Partner with assigned business units to provide creative solutions to business and legal matters
  • Review marketing materials

Information Technology (“IT”) and Privacy
  • Serve as key contact for the Chief Digital & Technology Officer and IT team to support An Absolutely Craveable Chicken, Zalads & Zappetizers Company digital transformation
  • Partner with outside counsel (as needed) and the Privacy Compliance Manager to maintain data privacy compliance

  • Planning, organization, and follow-up skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/tasks in a growth environment
  • Listening skills to build trust and develop relationships across various stakeholder groups
  • Ability to contribute to the legal team's ongoing efforts to create, improve, and operationalize internal processes, best practices, and commercial templates
  • Working knowledge of (or willingness to learn) data privacy laws
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to be flexible and proactive in solving complex challenges
  • Possess strong work ethic and client-service-oriented perspective
  • Strong drafting and negotiating skills

Education and Experience Guidelines
  • Education: Bachelor's degree; Juris Doctorate and member in good standing of Georgia State Bar
  • Experience: 4+ years of corporate law firm experience required
