Baker Botts is seeking a Corporate Associate (Class of 2019–2024) to join our Houston office. The ideal candidate will have experience with capital markets transactions, SEC reporting, and other public company representation.Responsibilities:
- Support capital markets transactions, including public and private securities offerings and related compliance matters.
- Assist with SEC reporting and disclosure obligations for public company clients.
- Contribute to a range of corporate transactions and general corporate matters as part of a collaborative deal team.
- Work closely with partners and senior associates to deliver practical, business-focused legal advice.
- Advise clients on day-to-day corporate governance and related corporate matters.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
- Class of 2019–2024 with 2–6 years of corporate transactional experience.
- Experience with securities laws, equity and debt offerings and capital markets transactions representing public companies and/or underwriters.
- Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Admission to practice in Texas (or eligibility to waive in).
