Position Requirements:
We are seeking candidates with a range of entry-level to four years of law firm experience as a corporate attorney. Candidates must have strong written and oral communication skills, excellent professional recommendations, and a team-oriented mindset. At A Full-Service Am Law 200 Firm, you'll have the chance to work on diverse projects in our regulated industry focus areas, including:
- Insurance: Regulatory compliance, insurance transactions, captive insurance formations, and insurance company M&A
- Mining: Entity structuring, joint ventures, regulatory compliance, and transactional support for mining operations
- Healthcare: Healthcare entity formation and governance, regulatory compliance, practice acquisitions, and healthcare real estate transactions
- Pet Care Industries: Veterinary practice acquisitions and sales, corporate veterinary platform transactions, pet care business formations, and emerging pet care sector deals
- Cross-Industry Work: Mergers and acquisitions, entity formation and governance, and commercial contracts across all sectors
You'll gain valuable experience navigating complex regulatory frameworks while working directly with clients who are leaders in their respective industries. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys interested in developing niche expertise that is increasingly in demand.
Expectations:
A Full-Service Am Law 200 Firm's compensation is merit-based—you'll be evaluated on your individual performance and achievements and on your contributions to the team's efforts.
Our generous bonus program rewards financial contributions and hard work and associates are also eligible for fee splits.
Judicial clerks are eligible for a one-time bonus immediately following the completion of a judicial clerkship with a federal appellate, federal district, tax court, state supreme court, or state appellate court.
A Full-Service Am Law 200 Firm expects associates to invest 1800 hours on billable matters, 75 hours of pro bono/public service work (or 50 hours of pro bono legal work), in addition to at least 25 hours dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Contributions to the life of the firm is vital to the collective success of the firm, and we encourage our lawyers to engage in ways each person finds meaningful through various committees and firm activities.
