- Position Title: Contract Review Attorney (Class Action Litigation)
- Location: Remote
- Employment Type: Independent Contractor / Temporary
- Pay Rate: $45 – $55 per hour (depending on experience and review platform familiarity)
- Estimated Duration: 2 to 4 months (with potential for extension based on case needs)
- Expected Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week
Position Overview:
A fast-growing plaintiffs-side class action and complex litigation law firm seeks a diligent and detail-oriented Contract Attorney to assist with large-scale electronic document review. The ideal candidate will analyze complex corporate documents, internal communications, and financial records to identify key evidence supporting consumer protection and privacy class actions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct first- and second-level privilege, relevance, and confidentiality reviews of electronic documents.
- Apply complex issue coding and tagging protocols accurately under tight deadlines.
- Identify “hot” documents and draft concise summaries for senior litigation associates and partners.
- Escalate potential privilege issues or critical evidentiary findings immediately.
- Participate in periodic team meetings regarding review strategies and quality control metrics.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Active JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active bar admission in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Minimum 2-3 years of document review experience, preferably within civil litigation or plaintiffs-side class actions.
- Demonstrated proficiency with major e-discovery review platforms (e.g., Relativity, Logikcull, Everlaw).
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to commit to a full-time schedule (40 hours/week) and pass a brief conflict check.
