Description: Fox Rothschild has an opening in multiple offices for an associate to join its construction practice group within the Litigation Department. The ideal candidate will have three to six years of construction law experience. Our team represents industry participants during all stages of a construction project, including owners, developers, associations, general contractors, trades, and architects, throughout Florida and the country. Training will be provided regarding all aspects of construction law, including transactional work such as contract drafting and deal negotiations as well as dispute resolution services ranging from project consultation and pre-suit efforts, through litigation or arbitration. We are not currently accepting resumes from search firms for this position.

Qualifications: Juris Doctorate (JD) required. Must be licensed to practice in the State of Florida.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Excellent academic credentials and strong research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Experience drafting pleadings and motion practice at both the state and federal levels along with providing trial support is required.
  • Long-term interest in business development and potential board certification in the area of construction law is highly desirable.
  • Confidence in the courtroom and in independently handling matters and interacting directly with adversaries and clients or colleagues is required.
  • Law firm experience preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.

Physical Requirements:
Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.
