Description:
The ideal candidate must have the ability to work well with the Legal team and support staff under general supervision. We require someone with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.Responsibilities:
- Attend hearings, mediations, and conduct trials.
- Argue motions and conduct depositions of lay and expert witnesses.
- Consult with clients, opposing counsel, and the judiciary.
- Coordinate case handling with claims personnel.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of litigation experience, with a preference for construction litigation or a strong interest in transitioning into this field.
- Ability to manage cases with minimal supervision.
- Experience in construction defect litigation and insurance defense is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, adherence to procedures, effective time management, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the capability to defend clients in various construction litigation matters.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a defense team.
Education:
- Juris Doctorate degree.
- Active member in good standing of the Texas State Bar.
