Description:

Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced attorney to join our construction‑law team. While the qualifications below outline our ideal candidate, they are guidelines rather than rigid requirements. We're looking for a bright, dedicated lawyer who shares our goal of providing the most trusted counsel to businesses and individuals in the region.

What You'll Do:
  • Represent clients in construction disputes. Handle a wide range of issues arising during the project lifecycle, such as payment and contract disputes, mechanics' lien enforcement, construction defects and delays.
  • Draft and negotiate project documents. Prepare design and construction agreements for public and private projects, including contracts with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Litigate and resolve claims. Lead matters in state and federal courts, arbitration and administrative agencies, managing strategy, discovery, motions, and trial preparation.
  • Perform legal research and draft memoranda. Produce clear, concise analysis on complex legal issues.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • Active license in good standing with the Tennessee State Bar (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Experience in construction law (ideally 3+ years), mechanics' liens, or related litigation.
  • Strong working knowledge of Tennessee lien statutes and relevant federal and state laws.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Excellent analytical, research, writing and communication skills.
