Position Overview:
We are seeking a Commercial Real Estate Associate to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated transactions alongside experienced attorneys and long standing clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, letters of intent, deeds, and other documents related to commercial real estate transactions.
  • Conduct and review due diligence, including monitoring contingencies, preparing title objections, and reviewing surveys, environmental reports, closing documents, and wire instructions.
  • Coordinate and analyze title commitments and policies, UCC, judgment, and lien searches, surveys, site plans, and leases.
  • Oversee pre and post closing processes, including preparing documents for recording and filing.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, banks, attorneys, and all parties involved in closings and filings.
  • Manage and direct the review, preparation, and administration of commercial leasing documentation.

Work Environment & Expectations

  • Minimum annual billable requirement: 1,850 hours.

Qualifications:
  • 1–4 years of commercial real estate and financing experience (required).
  • Note: This role is for practicing attorneys; we are not accepting applications from current law students at this time.
  • Connecticut Bar admission or eligibility to waive in (required).
  • Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the Bar.
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Corporate law experience (preferred).
