The Role:
As a licensed attorney, you'll manage the full lifecycle of legal opinions — from initial draft to final delivery — for sophisticated real estate finance transactions. This involves analyzing organizational charts, operating agreements, loan documents, and related deal materials to render a variety of opinions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze complex deal documents to support opinion drafting
- Interface with deal counsel and clients to obtain required documentation
- Draft and finalize opinions in line with client expectations and closing timelines
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience with large, sophisticated commercial real estate transactions
- 3+ years of experience with CMBS transactions
- 2+ years of experience drafting and/or reviewing legal opinions
- Strong drafting, proofing, and communication skills
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Corporate or bankruptcy experience is a plus
- Must be licensed and in good standing to practice law
- Able to provide three professional references (after interview)
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary Range: $200,000 – $300,000 (commensurate with experience).
