Husch Blackwell LLP is a national law firm with multiple locations across the United States, dedicated to our clients and the industries they serve.

We have an immediate opening in our Los Angeles or Oakland offices for a Commercial Litigation Senior Associate or Senior Counsel. Senior Associate candidates must have a minimum of six years of relevant experience. Senior Counsel candidates must have a minimum of ten years of relevant experience.

The ideal candidate will have familiarity with all phases of complex commercial litigation including, but not limited to, experience conducting factual investigations and discovery, preparing pleadings, depositions, motions practice, settlement negotiations, and communicating with clients. Experience in administrative matters and arbitrations is beneficial. The candidate should have a strong command of courtroom practice and are fully capable of serving as the firm's presence for hearings, conferences, and procedural matters in both state and federal courts. Familiarity with automotive cases is a plus but not required. The candidate will work primarily with attorneys in our Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation business unit.

The ideal candidate will have excellent academic credentials, a commitment to the community, superior interpersonal skills and a demonstrated record of working well under pressure. The candidate should demonstrate exceptional judgment, the ability to effectively handle multiple projects, and the ability to articulate legal strategies and courses of action. Candidates must have an active California bar license and be admitted to appear before various CA state and federal courts with related experience. Pursuant to applicable state laws, the compensation range for this position in California only is $200,000 to $300,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salaries in all other markets will vary depending on market data. Associates are eligible for an Associate Performance Bonus and Client Development Bonus.
