Description:

The Portland office of A West Coast Business and Insurance Law Firm is seeking an attorney with four or more years of experience handling civil litigation matters to join a well-respected firm that offers a collegial, collaborative and stable work environment. The position involves advising and representing clients in the following areas of the law: contract disputes, corporate finance and securities, professional liability, directors and officers claims, regulatory agency investigations, employment liability practice claims, fiduciary claims and commercial disputes. This position involves all phases of litigation with increasing responsibility for file management, including legal research, drafting pleadings, reviewing and propounding discovery, managing files, and appearing and presenting arguments at hearings, depositions, arbitrations and trials.

We offer a hybrid work schedule (with an expectation of three days per week in-person).

Qualifications:
We are looking for forward-thinking professionals who are committed to helping us meet our clients' challenging legal issues. Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

A strong academic record, along with excellent oral and written communication skills
At least two years of private law firm practice
Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to develop creative legal strategies
Demonstrated trial experience and/or trial preparation experience
Strong organizational and time management skills with the proven ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment

Must be admitted to practice in Oregon, Washington experience a plus
