Fairfield and Woods, P.C. (FW), a well-established law firm in Denver, Colorado, seeks an Associate attorney to join our Litigation Department.We're looking for a talented individual who can confidently manage a variety of civil litigation matters while thriving in a collaborative, professional environment. Relevant work experience and skills:
- Experience in commercial litigation, including federal and state court proceedings, administrative hearings, and other legal forums.
- Skilled in researching, drafting, and arguing motions and briefs; proficient in all aspects of discovery, including taking and defending depositions, managing discovery and ESI, as well as trial preparation and participation.
- Proven ability to negotiate settlements and engage effectively in mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.
- Strong capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent legal writing, communication, analytical, and research skills, with the ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
Qualified candidates will have:
- 4-8 years of relevant legal experience.
- A J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Colorado Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
- Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, exceptional work ethic with willingness to accept project responsibility, and solid communication skills with direct interaction with partners and clients.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Construction defect or employment law experience.
- Bench or jury trial experience.
Compensation & Benefits:
The starting salary range for this position is $125,000-$165,000/year based on education and experience, as well as a discretionary bonus program. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
