Position Overview:We are looking for a motivated Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is eager to grow their litigation practice under the mentorship of experienced senior counsel. Some litigation experience is a plus, but we welcome candidates who bring strong fundamentals and a genuine willingness to learn.
Core Responsibilities:
- Litigation Support & Ownership: Assist with, and progressively take ownership of, commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Drafting: Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents under attorney supervision.
- Research & Strategy: Conduct legal research and contribute to the development of case theory and litigation strategy.
- Court Appearances: Attend hearings, depositions, and (as experience develops) trial proceedings.
- Client Interaction: Communicate with clients professionally and help manage case updates and expectations.
- Mentorship: Work closely with senior attorneys to develop litigation skills, courtroom readiness, and substantive expertise in commercial law.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school; active bar license in good standing.
- Experience: No specific years required — some commercial litigation experience preferred, but new admittees and early-career attorneys are encouraged to apply.
- Attributes: Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and a genuine willingness to learn from senior counsel. Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Work Style: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment with direct mentorship from experienced litigators.
