You will...
  • Lead and support legal contract negotiations on a variety of transactions including master supply agreements, service agreements, license agreements, NDAs, and more.
  • Develop and maintain contract templates.
  • Collaborate closely with Waabi's global supply chain team on contract databases and contract processes for Waabi.
  • Expand your knowledge of regulatory compliance as it applies to Waabi's operations and assist with day-to-day compliance management.
  • Manage day-to-day insurance matters.
  • Draft business policies and lead yearly reviews of policies.
  • Be part of a team of multidisciplinary operations managers, procurement professionals, commercial negotiators and policy leaders among others, using an AI-first approach to enable safe self-driving at scale.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor and qualified to practice law in at least one U.S. state, with California, New York or Texas preferred.
  • 5-8 years of experience in commercial contracting at an automotive company, fast-paced hardware technology company and/or in private practice (business law).
  • Demonstrated experience tackling thorny issues in hardware and part supply contracts.
  • Solid understanding of how to balance contractual risk with sustainable contracting provisions based on company stage.
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities under time pressure, rapidly develop relationships, and identify the most important issues that will impact Waabi's business.
  • Dynamic problem solving skills and great business judgement when provided with incomplete information.
  • Open-minded and collaborative team player with the willingness to help others.
  • Demonstrated willingness to flex and grow into new areas.
