Description:
Buchalter is seeking a Litigation Associate with 3 – 5 years of experience in complex commercial and business litigation in Portland. The ideal candidate will have experience in sophisticated litigation matters, including contract disputes, business torts, and fraud cases.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a strong background in litigation practice, excellent legal research and writing skills, experience handling e-discovery issues and document productions, and an overall track record of high-quality work. A degree from a top fifty law school is preferred but not required. We seek someone who is hardworking, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and who demonstrates exceptional analytical abilities. Must be admitted to the State Bar of Oregon. An additional admission (or willingness to become licensed) in California would be preferred but not required.
Responsibilities will include drafting pleadings and motions, conducting legal research, assisting with discovery (including e-discovery), and supporting trial preparation under the guidance of senior attorneys.
