Client Intake & Assessment Attorney
We are an established real estate law firm with offices across California. We are looking for a Client Intake & Assessment Attorney to join our fast-paced Business Real Estate team in our San Diego office. The ideal candidate will have litigation experience with a strong client service skillset.

Compensation:
$125k-$175k/annually + Bonus
Schedule:
Position is full-time, exempt. Our business hours are 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm Friday.
We currently offer a hybrid work model for select positions within the Firm. New hire employees who are offered a hybrid schedule will complete the majority of their onboarding and training in-office as deemed necessary for the position by the firm before transitioning to a hybrid schedule, subject to approval by their supervisor.

Responsibilities:
- Providing excellent customer service in response to new case referrals received internally and externally
- Handling initial case calls and emails from new departmental clients and routing to appropriate attorneys for handling
- Assisting with new case set up to generate internal case numbers (Matter IDs), retainer agreements and conflict waivers (as needed)
- Gather new case information from referrals including the date of service of process, parties represented, insurance information, documentation and witness information
- Provide basic legal representation to clients, assessing the facts and issues of each scenario and counseling clients appropriately
- Represent the firm internally and externally
- Other duties as needed to support the legal, management and client service goals of the department
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- J.D. and an active California Bar license
- 5+ years of experience as a licensed California attorney
- Previous civil litigation experience
- Previous experience in landlord-tenant law
- Ability to communicate regularly with clients on a range of practice group topics
- Ability to multi-task and operate against inflexible deadlines both in a team environment and independently
