Your Responsibilities:
Lockton is seeking an experienced Claims Counsel to join our Global Professional & Executive Risk Practice in Texas. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders, providing strategic guidance on complex claims involving management liability, employment practices liability, cyber liability, professional liability, private company and public company exposures, and other executive risk coverages.

The successful candidate will combine legal expertise with a client-focused mindset to advocate for policyholders, navigate complex coverage issues, and drive favorable claim outcomes.
  • Provide strategic claims advocacy and guidance for clients across Professional & Executive Risk products.
  • Analyze insurance policies, coverage positions, and claim-related legal matters.
  • Manage complex claims involving:
  • Directors & Officers (D&O)
  • Errors & Omissions (E&O)
  • Cyber Liability
  • Employment Practices Liability (EPL)
  • Fiduciary Liability
  • Crime
  • Private and Public Company Liability
  • Collaborate with insurers, defense counsel, brokers, and clients to advance claim resolutions.
  • Monitor litigation, regulatory investigations, and emerging risk trends.
  • Assist clients with claim reporting, coverage strategy, and claims resolution planning.
  • Develop thought leadership and educational materials related to claims and executive risk exposures.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for internal teams and clients.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) required.
  • Licensed attorney in good standing preferred.
  • 5+ years of legal, insurance coverage, claims, or executive risk experience.
  • Understanding of management liability and Professional & Executive Risk insurance products.
  • Strong coverage analysis and legal research capabilities.
  • Exceptional client-facing and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage complex matters with minimal oversight.
  • Insurance broker experience preferred but not required.
