The Opportunity:
We are seeking a California-licensed Civil Litigation Attorney to manage real estate, construction, and business litigation matters from consultation through resolution.

This role is ideal for an attorney who can run their own practice within a firm structure — managing clients directly while leveraging staff and systems for support.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage litigation matters from intake through resolution
  • Develop case strategy aligned with client goals and economics
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
  • Conduct depositions
  • Appear in court (hearings, CMCs, law and motion; trial experience preferred but not required)
  • Handle mediations and settlement negotiations
  • Maintain direct client communication and advisory role
  • Exercise independent professional judgment consistent with California ethical standards

Requirements:
  • Active California Bar license
  • 4–10 years of civil litigation experience (real estate and/or construction preferred)
  • Strong motion practice and deposition experience
  • Trial experience preferred but not required
  • Comfortable managing cases independently
  • Strong client communication skills
  • Strategic thinker who understands leverage and cost-benefit analysis
  • Business-minded and solutions-oriented

Compensation & Classification

  • Independent contractor position under California law
  • Percentage of collections model (uncapped earning potential)
  • Percentage of paid consultations
  • Hourly compensation option available
  • Transparent monthly accounting

Representative Earnings Range:

$140,000 – $325,000+ annually depending on productivity, collections, and structure selected. High performers with strong case management and client ownership can exceed this range.

This structure rewards attorneys who take ownership of their caseload and want income tied directly to performance.
