Overview:We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Civil Litigation Attorney to join our legal team. Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of civil litigation cases, including pleadings, discovery, motions, trial preparation, and settlement negotiations.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and ensure compliance with current laws and regulations.
- Draft clear, persuasive legal documents including briefs, memoranda, pleadings, and contracts with precision and professionalism.
- Advise clients on a variety of legal matters such as estate planning, landlord-tenant disputes, family law issues, securities regulations, workers' compensation claims, personal injury claims, tribal law & regulations, patent law, and environmental concerns.
- Develop effective negotiation strategies to resolve disputes efficiently while protecting client interests.
- Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to provide holistic legal solutions tailored to client needs.
- Maintain meticulous case files and manage legal administrative tasks efficiently to ensure smooth workflow.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in relevant jurisdictions.
- Proven experience in litigation with a strong understanding of courtroom procedures and legal research methodologies.
- Proficiency in using LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other legal research tools for comprehensive case analysis.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear and compelling legal documents.
- Strong knowledge of diverse practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, landord-tenant law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, patent law.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and resolve disputes amicably or through litigation as needed.
- Legal drafting expertise combined with solid legal administrative experience for managing case documentation efficiently.
