Responsibilities:
As a Civil Litigation Associate Attorney, you will:
- Manage cases from inception through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and other litigation-related documents.
- Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues.
- Develop litigation strategies and case plans.
- Draft and respond to written discovery.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances.
- Communicate directly with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to achieve successful outcomes.
- Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines.
- Active member in good standing with The Florida Bar.
- 0-2 years of Florida civil litigation experience.
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to independently manage a caseload while maintaining attention to detail.
- Professionalism, sound judgment, and a strong work ethic.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Experience attending hearings, mediations, and depositions.
