We are seeking a skilled Civil Litigation Attorney with 5–7 years of law firm experience to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing litigation matters from inception through resolution, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a diverse caseload involving commercial and defense litigation matters.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, legal memoranda, and settlement agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies.
  • Handle all phases of discovery, including document review, depositions, and witness preparation.
  • Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding case status, legal risks, and strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, experts, and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
  • Negotiate settlements and assist with dispute resolution efforts.
  • Maintain accurate billing, case documentation, and compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.
  • Support business development initiatives and client relationship management efforts.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the Idaho State Bar
  • 5-7 years of litigation experience within a law firm environment
  • Proficiency in general legal principles, including a strong grasp of Civil Law and Litigation
  • Experience in drafting and responding to Motions
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Court procedures and processes
  • Proven ability to conduct Trials and manage trial preparation effectively
  • Experience handling Depositions and gathering evidence
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to independently manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in commercial litigation, employment litigation, insurance defense, construction litigation, real estate disputes, or other specialized practice areas.
  • Experience with mediation and alternative dispute resolution.
