Must be an active licensed member of the Georgia Bar. No experience necessary!

We offer gas stipend, bar dues, and CLEs. This is a remote position other than in person hearings as scheduled. The Dunn Matthews Law Firm is a boutique law firm in Metro Atlanta. We provide legal services necessary to protect abused and neglected children as well as elderly/disabled adults.

Responsibilities include:

Providing legal guidance and representation for the Department of Human Services Department of Family and Children Services - for child abuse and neglect cases as well as adult protective services cases
Drafting and filing petitions and presenting evidence to the court in child abuse and neglect cases
Preparing motions and orders
Handling trials and hearings in the Juvenile Court of Clayton County
Prepare legal memoranda and briefs
Researching legal issues

If you are a self-starter and can work without assistance while pushing our clients cases forward in the most efficient, caring manner possible send us your resume. You must be a detail oriented person capable of handling the caseload using workflows as well as normal critical thinking.

Our Firm handles DFCS cases as the Special Assistant Attorney General (SAAG) in Clayton County.

Include two or three things for which you are most proud. They do not have to be work related. Include a writing sample.

Although this is a remote position because we practice in Metro Atlanta and court is back in session in person, we prefer a candidate in Metro Atlanta.

Pay is on a 1099 contractor basis.
