- Draft, review, and sign legal documents including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements in compliance with California civil procedure.
- Appear in court and administrative hearings as needed across California jurisdictions (virtual and in-person).
- Participate in case strategy discussions and collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure the timely and accurate progression of cases.
- Conduct legal research and deliver sound legal advice to clients under attorney-client privilege.
- Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and internal staff to advance case resolution.
- Stay current with California law, procedural updates, and evolving best practices in assigned practice areas.
- Maintain detailed case notes and ensure compliance with firm protocols, deadlines, and ethical standards.
- Actively contribute to a culture centered around justice, empathy, and collaboration.

Required Qualifications:
- Active license to practice law in California and good standing
- Willingness and ability to appear in court and manage active litigation caseloads.
- Excellent legal writing, communication, and analytical skills.
- Passion for public service and client advocacy, particularly in underserved areas such as family law and civil rights.
- Strong organizational skills and comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume legal environment.
- Proficiency with legal technology and AI tools (case management systems, e-filing platforms, Claude, ChatGPT, etc.).
- Preferred: Sacramento-based or able to appear in NorCal courts as needed; other California-based attorneys encouraged to apply.
- Bonus: Experience or interest in civil litigation, tenant rights, or education law.
