Dykema is seeking a highly motivated business litigation associate with at least five (5) years of experience in international trade and customs law and supply chain litigation. Detroit is the preferred location, though candidates may also be based in other Michigan offices, Washington DC, or Chicago. Please indicate your office of interest in the cover letter. The ideal candidate will have experience advising companies on U.S. import and export regulations, including customs valuation, tariff classification, country-of-origin issues, and compliance with evolving trade policies and experience litigating supply chain and commercial disputes. Experience with matters involving U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the U.S. Court of International Trade, and tariffs is preferred. Candidates should have strong experience drafting pleadings and motions, developing case strategy, and managing matters independently or as part of a team. We are looking for candidates with exceptional written and oral advocacy skills, strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship. Admission to practice in the applicable jurisdiction is required. For applicants in Chicago and Washington, D.C., this position has an expected starting salary of $195,000, which may vary depending on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications.
