Description:

At Reznik Law Group, we believe that practicing sophisticated business litigation shouldn't mean sacrificing your personal life, professional independence, or earning potential.

Maybe you're an associate at a traditional law firm who enjoys litigation but is tired of excessive billable-hour requirements, rigid office culture, or limited autonomy.

Or perhaps you've built your own practice and discovered that running a law firm means spending too much time managing staff, dealing with billing and collections, handling administrative responsibilities, and not enough time doing what you actually enjoy: practicing law.

What if there were a better way?
We're looking for an experienced business litigation attorney who wants to do excellent legal work, take ownership of meaningful cases, and grow professionally in an environment that values results, independence, and quality of life.

Who We Are:
Reznik Law Group is a San Diego-based law firm representing businesses, entrepreneurs, and individuals in commercial litigation and related business matters.

Our practice includes breach of contract claims, business torts, partnership and shareholder disputes, and other complex commercial controversies.

But what makes our firm different isn't just the work we do. It's how we do it.

We've cultivated a professional yet relaxed, approachable, and collegial environment where attorneys are trusted to manage their cases, encouraged to collaborate, and given the freedom to develop their practices without unnecessary bureaucracy.

We take our clients and our work seriously. We just don't believe that practicing law needs to be unnecessarily stressful.

Why Join Us?
We offer the opportunity to build a rewarding litigation practice with the support, professional independence, and financial incentives to make it worthwhile.

Competitive Compensation and Quarterly Bonuses: A base salary of $120,000–$180,000, depending on experience and qualifications, plus opportunities to earn additional compensation through quarterly productivity-based bonuses. We want attorneys who work efficiently and deliver results to share in the financial rewards of their efforts.
  • Reasonable Billable-Hour Expectations: We believe in rewarding productivity and results without imposing the excessive billable-hour demands commonly associated with traditional litigation firms.
  • 100% Employer-Paid Health Insurance: We cover the full cost of employee health insurance.
  • Unlimited Paid Time Off: Flexibility to take time away from work while meeting client needs and professional responsibilities.
  • Paid Parking: Convenient parking at our San Diego office.
  • Executive Coaching: Access to an executive coach to support professional development, leadership, and long-term career growth.
  • Experienced Colleagues: Independence to manage your own cases, with access to experienced attorneys for collaboration, litigation strategy, and mentorship.
  • Established Administrative Support: Legal assistants and administrative staff, along with billing, accounting, and collections support, so you can spend more time practicing law and less time dealing with administrative responsibilities.
  • Professional Autonomy: The opportunity to take ownership of your matters, develop client relationships, and exercise independent professional judgment within a collaborative firm.
  • You focus on practicing law. We provide the infrastructure to support you.

What We're Looking For:
Our ideal candidate has approximately 3–5 years of civil or business litigation experience and is ready to take meaningful responsibility for their cases.

You should be comfortable:
  • Independently managing litigation matters from inception through resolution.
  • Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents.
  • Appearing in court and arguing motions.
  • Developing litigation strategies and communicating directly with clients.
  • Working independently while collaborating with other attorneys when appropriate.

Qualifications:
  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • Approximately 3–5 years of relevant civil or commercial litigation experience.
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Sound professional judgment, initiative, and organizational skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus but not required.
  • This is a primarily in-office position in San Diego.

We also welcome inquiries from more experienced attorneys and solo practitioners interested in transitioning into an established firm with the infrastructure and resources to support their practice.

A Different Kind of Opportunity
We're not looking for someone who simply wants another job. We're looking for an attorney who enjoys litigation, takes pride in their work, and wants to build a successful and rewarding career without the unnecessary pressures often associated with traditional law firm environments.

Whether you're looking to leave a traditional law firm, find a more entrepreneurial environment, or step away from the administrative demands of solo practice, we'd welcome the opportunity to talk.

Come practice law. Enjoy your career. And have a life outside the office.
