Description:

Experience: 4 to 5 years in business litigation law

Qualifications:
  • Experience in litigating complex business disputes and ability to manage matters with increasing independence while delivering a high-quality work product in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience leading court conferences in state and/or federal court.
  • Prior experience conducting depositions.
  • Prior experience managing discovery.

Responsibilities:
  • Handle all phases of business and commercial litigation matters.
  • Draft pleadings, dispositive and non-dispositive motions, briefs, and discovery materials.
  • Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and motion arguments.
  • Assist with trial preparation, arbitration proceedings, and settlement negotiations.
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic analysis on client matters.
  • Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts.
  • Supervise and mentor junior associates and business support professionals, as appropriate.
  • Participate in client meetings and contribute to business development efforts, as appropriate.

Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Excellent technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other practice areas to provide comprehensive solutions to clients.

Salary: $150,000 to $175,000

At this time, the good faith estimate of the annual salary range for this position, if the successful applicant is based in New York City is $150,000 to $175,000. This range is not applicable to other locations.
