Description:

Experience: 4 to 5 years in business litigation law

Qualifications:

Experience in litigating complex business disputes and ability to manage matters with increasing independence while delivering a high-quality work product in a fast-paced environment.
Prior experience leading court conferences in state and/or federal court.
Prior experience conducting depositions.
Prior experience managing discovery.

Responsibilities:

Handle all phases of business and commercial litigation matters.
Draft pleadings, dispositive and non-dispositive motions, briefs, and discovery materials.
Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and motion arguments.
Assist with trial preparation, arbitration proceedings, and settlement negotiations.
Conduct legal research and provide strategic analysis on client matters.
Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts.
Supervise and mentor junior associates and business support professionals, as appropriate.
Participate in client meetings and contribute to business development efforts, as appropriate.

Requirements:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Strong academic credentials.
Excellent technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with other practice areas to provide comprehensive solutions to clients.

Salary: $150,000 to $175,000

At this time, the good faith estimate of the annual salary range for this position, if the successful applicant is based in New York City is $150,000 to $175,000. This range is not applicable to other locations.
