Gunster, Florida's Law Firm for Leaders, is seeking a Staff Attorney interested in working with the firm's business immigration practice in Miami.This is a unique opportunity to join an established team of eleven attorneys in a growing and sophisticated national and international immigration practice at one of Florida's largest and most well-regarded law firms.
This position will be a client-facing, non-shareholder track role requiring seven-plus (7+) years of full-time experience practicing employment-based / corporate immigration law and will support Shareholder / Client Team. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, industrious, creative, and curious. Must possess strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of a wide range of non-immigrant classifications including H-1B, L-1A/L-1B, E-2, J-1, O-1, and USMCA/TN, have strong writing skills, background responding to RFEs, a firm grasp of business immigration policy, and a strong understanding of the PERM labor certification process as well as EB-1s, and National Interest Waivers. Must also have background in Employment Eligibility Verification.
Verbal and written proficiency in Spanish preferred and an ability to multitask in a busy practice is required. Excellent academic background. Florida bar admission a plus. The position will start as soon as possible.
