Description:

We are looking for a briefing attorney with excellent drafting and research skills as we often deal with novel legal issues of first impression. This person in this position will perform research, draft pleadings, draft motions, prepare memos and letters, participate in mock juries/focus group work, and potentially perform second/third chair trial work. The ideal candidate will have very strong research and writing skills. You should also be hard working, self-motivated, creative, and a team player.

The firm is located in Northwest Austin and handles white collar crime and civil contract disputes. We believe in fighting for the underdog and deal with some of our clients' most important issues, such as their freedom and financial future.

Although you will NOT be required to travel, we do have trials around the country and there may be opportunities for case-related travel. Also, when drafting motions, it is not a problem to spend a day here or there working from home. And, although this is a trial firm, we do recognize the importance of great briefing and treat the position with respect/appreciation.

There are opportunities for participating in bench and jury trials, but this is primarily a briefing position with a heavy emphasis on drafting and legal research.

The position has health insurance and a retirement program.
