A Patent Law Firm, a leading Intellectual Property law firm located in Washington, DC, is seeking an experienced Biotechnology Patent Attorney.

Purpose Statement: Prepare and prosecute biotechnology-related patent applications. Hybrid remote work arrangement available. This position will perform various tasks related to patent prosecution including: all aspects of preparing and prosecuting patent applications; conducting examiner interviews; and arranging for patentability, state-of-the-art, infringement, validity searches, or prepare patentability opinions.

Education and Experience: Advanced degree (Ph.D.) is optional, but preferred. Preferred areas of study/work experience include, but are not limited to, genetics, immunology, cell biology, proteomics, virology, bacteriology, and molecular biology. Law degree from an ABA accredited law school and admission to at least one state bar (for attorney). Strong academic credentials. Registered to practice before the USPTO. One or more years of substantial recent patent prosecution experience in biotechnology area.
