Description:
Busy General Practice Firm in Essex County seeking bilingual attorney who practices US Immigration Law with minimum of seven (7) years of experience.Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with handling application and briefs submissions to EOIR/USCIS/NVC offices as well as attending Immigration master and individual hearings, asylum interview appointments, and family petition/adjustment of status interviews, etc.
- Admission to New Jersey Bar (preferred) in good standing with seven 7+ years of experience with immigration law
- Experience with Family Law for Special Immigrant Juveniles
- Experience with other litigations areas of law a bonus.
- Ability to handle a high caseload
- Detail oriented, organized, and quick
- Must speak Spanish; Portuguese a bonus
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent public speaking skills
- Ability to work cases either independently or as part of a team, to develop case strategies
- MUST have a driver's license and be computer literate.
- Client intake
- Provide Representation at Removal Proceedings (EOIR) and USCIS Offices
- Drafting and submitting motions, complaints (family court), answers, forms and briefs in addition to other court/client correspondence
- Provide Representation at Criminal-Immigration Hearings
- Assist other litigation attorneys with pending cases
- Conducting complex legal research and case specific analysis
