Paré & Associates, LLC is a boutique Maryland law firm seeking an experienced Attorney to join our Bankruptcy and Estates & Trusts practice areas. We are looking for an attorney who can independently manage matters, provide practical and strategic legal counsel, and deliver a high level of client service.Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload involving consumer bankruptcy and estates and trusts matters.
- Represent clients in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy proceedings, including preparation and filing of petitions, schedules, motions, and related pleadings.
- Attend bankruptcy hearings, meetings of creditors, and other court proceedings as required.
- Counsel clients regarding bankruptcy options, debt relief strategies, and related financial matters.
- Handle estate planning matters, including drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance medical directives, and related documents.
- Advise clients regarding estate and trust planning, administration, and related legal issues.
- Manage matters from initial consultation through resolution while maintaining timely and professional client communication.
- Maintain accurate case files, deadlines, calendars, time entries, and billing records.
- Collaborate effectively with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
- Meet established productivity, billing, and client-service expectations.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active Maryland Bar license and good standing required.
- Prior experience practicing Bankruptcy and/or Estates & Trusts law strongly preferred.
- Ability to independently manage a caseload and appear before courts.
- Strong legal research, writing, drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and client communication skills.
- High level of professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Experience with legal practice-management technology, including Clio, is a plus.
