Join our boutique bankruptcy practice where we represent debtors; creditors; trustees and litigants in Bankruptcy Court.Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal counsel.
- Conduct thorough legal research.
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients, ensuring their best interests are prioritized.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, and motions with precision and clarity.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and meetings of creditors.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting our practice areas.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop comprehensive case strategies that leverage diverse expertise within the firm.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active bar membership in New York.
- Admission to the EDNY and SDNY.
- Familiar with ECF.
- Understanding of the Bankruptcy Code and the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent Courtroom skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases effectively while meeting deadlines.
- Prior experience working in a law office setting is preferred.
