The Debt Defenders by Ciment Law Firm, PLLC, a leading debt resolution and consumer protection law firm, is seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Attorney to join our team. As a Bankruptcy Attorney, you will play a crucial role in representing clients in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases. We are looking for a dedicated professional with a minimum of 3 years of experience or a track record of handling 300+ bankruptcy cases.
Responsibilities:
- Review bankruptcy files with the paralegal and the client
- Prepare clients for their 341 meetings
- Review bankruptcy notices, motions, objections, and pleadings
- Work effectively with the case attorney and trustees
- Review and analyze each case for issues and practice ways to resolve those issues (refiles, conversions, modifications, etc)
- Other duties specific to your assigned cases may include reaffirmations, modifications, dismissals, legal research, etc.
- Gather information about legal issues from the client in interviews
Qualifications:
- Passion for helping people
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
- Member of the Texas State Bar and in good standing
- Member of the four Texas Federal Courts or at least one, and willing to apply to others
- Ability to provide legal instruction independently
Compensation:
$60,000 - $80,000 yearly
