Description:
We are seeking a skilled Bankruptcy Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience in bankruptcy or a strong desire to learn about bankruptcy. This position offers the opportunity to work on Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankrputcy cases and contribute to the success of our firm.
Duties:
- Prepare petitions in Chapter 13 and Chapter 7 bankruptcy.
- Work with clients to file cases and resolve issues after filing.
- Work with trustees to resolve issues with bankruptcy cases.
- Represent clients at 341a hearings, confirmation hearings, and other bankruptcy hearings.
- Speak with new contacts, assess their case, and offer representation.
- Work with bankruptcy staff to work on petitions.
- Manage caseload effectively
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in California
- Strong research and writing skills
- Experience with legal software
- Proficiency in using legal research tools such as Westlaw
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
