Job Overview:We are a well-established, California-registered law firm specializing in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases. We are expanding our team and seeking a skilled Bankruptcy Attorney to join us in delivering high-quality legal services to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Manage assigned Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases from start to finish
- Provide consultations and legal advice to clients (via phone or video)
- Review financial documents and prepare bankruptcy petitions
- Communicate with trustees, courts, and clients throughout the case lifecycle
- Attend 341 meetings (remote or in person as required)
- Ensure compliance with all bankruptcy rules and filing requirements
Requirements:
- Active license to practice law in California
- Minimum 1 year of experience in consumer bankruptcy (preferred)
- Familiarity with bankruptcy filing software (Best Case, CINcompass, etc.)
- Excellent communication and time-management skills
- Able to manage cases independently while adhering to deadlines
Nice to Have:
- Bilingual (Spanish or other languages)
- Experience with business-related Chapter 13 filings
- Familiarity with Central, Northern, Eastern, or Southern District courts
