Description:
Allen Matkins is seeking an associate with 3-5 years of experience to join our expanding Bankruptcy, Receivership & Creditor Remedies team. The ideal candidate will have:- Experience in commercial litigation, including creditors' rights and remedies, receiverships, bankruptcy, and commercial landlord/tenant matters.
- Represent institutional lenders, creditors, and court‑appointed receivers in state and federal litigation, bankruptcy proceedings, and commercial disputes.
- Develop strategies to protect creditor interests, maximize recoveries, and mitigate regulatory and compliance risks.
- Support receivers with asset recovery, management, liquidation, and stakeholder distributions.
- Collaborate with internal teams across real estate, finance, securities, environmental, and labor, and coordinate with external professionals such as regulators, forensic accountants, property managers, and brokers.
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills with excellent academic credentials
- Bankruptcy clerkship is a plus
- AmLaw 200 experience preferred.
- Admission to the State Bar of California.
The anticipated base salary range for this full-time role is $250,000 to $325,000 per year. Actual salary will depend upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, job-related skills, and qualifications.
