Description:

The AVP, Corporate Counsel will work in a small, collegial environment and serve as one of the legal experts and advisor to the company's executive team. This role involves providing strategic guidance on a wide range of corporate legal matters to ensure the company's operations and activities are in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. The AVP, Corporate Counsel will be primarily responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex agreements and a wide range of contracts, advising on M&A and related transactions, and managing risk, and providing support in litigation matters as necessary.

What you bring:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school; active bar membership in Massachusetts.
  • 5–8 years of corporate or commercial legal experience, ideally from a top-tier law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Deep knowledge of corporate law, contracts, intellectual property, and compliance; labor and employment law and litigation experience are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with insurance regulations is a plus.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to operate independently while collaborating across functions.
  • Executive presence and proven leadership experience.
