Description:

The Role:
We need a personal injury attorney who can run a caseload from intake through demand, litigation, and resolution. You will be the lawyer on the file: client contact, liability and damages development, negotiations with carriers, and courtroom work when the case does not settle. The standard is clear communication, clean files, and results.

What you will do:
  • Own a caseload of pre-litigation and litigation files and keep every client current on status, treatment, and next steps.
  • Investigate liability, preserve evidence, work up medical damages, and wage loss, and help build a demand the carrier has to answer.
  • Negotiate with adjusters and defense counsel. Know when a number is real and when the file should be filed.
  • Draft and argue pleadings, discovery, disclosures, motions in limine, and motions for summary judgment. Take and defend depositions. Prepare clients and experts for mediation and trial.
  • Try cases. First-chair support and second-chair trial work are expected; first-chair opportunity grows with experience.
  • Supervise paralegals and case managers on your files so nothing sits: records, calendaring, client updates, or settlement paperwork.
  • Comply with ethical rules, advertising limits, and firm policy on confidential client information.

What you bring:
  • Active license to practice in Arizona. Colorado, California, New Mexico, Florida admission is a plus, not required. We are open to exploring opportunities if you hold a license outside of these states.
  • 2+ years of personal injury experience, plaintiff-side preferred. Strong defense-side candidates with real deposition and motion practice will be considered.
  • Comfort with Arizona disclosure and discovery, statute of limitations issues, and insurance coverage.
  • Clear written and spoken English. Spanish is a plus.
  • A track record of moving files, not parking them. Client communication is key element of the job, not an afterthought.
  • Trial exposure, even as second chair, is preferred. Willingness to try cases is required.

How we work
Partners stay available on strategy, coverage, and trial calls. Day-to-day ownership of the file sits with the attorney. Compensation is salary plus performance bonus tied to resolved cases. Health benefits and PTO are part of the package. Ranges can be added once set.
