Description:
Lyon Legal, P.C. is a small labor and employment law firm in Long Beach, California that handles both Plaintiff and Defense matters. We are seeking an attorney with 2-4 years of experience (preferably labor and employment).Handling Attorney Responsibilities:
- Work and track assigned cases independently
- Prepare regular reports to client with case updates
- Attend client meetings and conduct workplace investigations
- Propound and respond to written discovery
- Prepare for and take/defend depositions
- Prepare case value reports for negotiations, mediation, and trial
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction and 2-4 years of experience (preferably labor and employment)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in legal research using Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
- Ability to draft clear and concise legal documents
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary is negotiable. At a certain point, you may be eligible to participate in the profit-sharing bonus program.
There are no yearly billable requirements - success is not driven by billables; it should be driven by wins for our clients.
We have a comfortable office in Long Beach but we can also accommodate flexible remote work when necessary.
