Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Attorney specializing in Juvenile Dependency law to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation and legal research, with the ability to advocate effectively for vulnerable youth and their families. Duties:
  • Represent clients in juvenile dependency cases, including court hearings and negotiations
  • Prepare and file legal documents, motions, and pleadings related to juvenile court proceedings
  • Conduct thorough legal research using legal research tools to support case strategies
  • Draft clear, concise legal documents and correspondence that adhere to professional standards
  • Advocate for clients during hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations
  • Collaborate with social workers, law enforcement, and other stakeholders involved in juvenile dependency cases
  • Maintain detailed case files and ensure all case documentation is accurate and up-to-date

Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing
  • Proven experience in juvenile dependency or family law practice preferred but not required
  • Strong research skills
  • Excellent writing skills with proficiency in legal drafting and administrative documentation
  • Effective negotiation skills for settlement discussions and mediations
  • Ability to handle litigation processes efficiently from inception through resolution
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently within a team environment while managing multiple cases simultaneously
